Wasim Arshed’s celebratory wedding dinner was held at Sarfraz Aslam’s house on Tuesday 25th oct 2011.

The food was excellent.

We were privileged to have the company of Munir Walayt PPP member from Khukha who shared his experiences and thoughts with us.

Sajjad Anwar has been playing cricket for Blackburn and District Amateur Cricket League for the season 2011-10-28

His performance has been outstanding as an all-rounder throughout the season playing for SUPER XI CC.

He has achieved 2 outstanding awards at the league’s award ceremony held in Blackburn on Thursday 20th Oct 2011.

He was awarded for best batting average and for highest score in an inning

B Division Batting trophy with figures of 13 ins, 4 n.o, 497 runs, av 55.22 runs per ins.

Lohi for UK is at Afzal's house in Slough

Sunday 19th June 2011 special benefit Kabadi Match played in Manchester.

The Match was organised by Manchester Kabadi committee for Kazam Hussain who was seriously injured while playing in The Walsall Kabadi on 22nd June 2011.

Manchester and Birmingham teams took part.
Match was organised by Tahir Farooqe with special thanks to Chacha Bali and Arshad Ahmed (Ikee).

Ch. Masarat Ali of LalQilla group was Chief guest.

8 players from Khukha took part.

Sajjad Anwar, Sarfraz Aslam, Tahir Mahmood, Azmat Nawaz, Hussnain Ahmed, Zamir Chandi, Asam Chafoor, and Imran (Mani).

Total Raised for Kazam Hussain was £2,000.

Hamza Khan celebrated his call up to the Lancashire Under 13 squad by leading from the front in a run chase. His 31 retired set the base for the victory, ably assisted by Rahul Parmar, who was opening the innings for the first time. His confidence grew as the partnership developed, and he posted a notable 21, before Lloyd Tennant and Ellis Robinson sealed the victory.
Earlier Croston had recovered well from the loss of 2 early wickets and Tom Caunce and Stephen Newlove both batted very sensibly, before each retired on 30. Ellis Robinson put the brakes on the Croston innings in the latter stages with 3 tight overs and 2 wickets. Particular mention also to Jacob Wright, standing behind the wicket for the first time for the Under 13A, and proving an excellent stand-in for the injured skipper.

Khukha.net is very pleased to report that Sajjad Anwar, Leyland, UK, scored a record unbeaten 147 for his club 'The Blackburn Super Elevens.' It was only a 35 overs match. With his efforts, his club managed to score, again, a record 301 runs. In reply, Knight Riders could only manage 190 runs. Sajjad was presented with a special trophy and cash prize of £100. His club is doing very well in a league of 12 teams. Congratulations to Sajjad and his family.

Congratulations to Ch. Tabarak of Leyland, Uk, Alishaan Tabarak, Tauseef Tabarak and Sajjad Anwar on winning the Derby Greyhound Race last week. Two of their greyhounds are named as Khukha Star and Khukha Express. Khukha Star Won the Competition and Ch Tabarak received a Beautiful trophy as well as £400 winning prize money. Alishaan has promised to send in photos and further details.

Khukha has been honoured at the fact that only one of their residents has been selected to compete in the National Level T20 Playoffs for the 1st time in the whole of Jhelum on his own merit. A very high proud factor for the people of Khukha. Rizwan Sadiq s/o Mohammad Sadiq (Late) has been selected to play in the Rawalpindi Rams team for the Al-Faisal T20 cup. All the cricket matches that are going to be played for the Al-Faisal T20 Cup will be held at the Qasafi Cricket Standium, Lahore.

Rizwan will be participating amongst Pakistan International Cricket players such as, Sohail Tanveer, Umar Amin, Yasir Arafat & Hammad Azam. A very high & dedicated performance has always been given by Rizwan Sadiq in previous cricket seasons.

First Zong and Jhelumnews.com cricket tournament was played on Khukha Cricket Ground.16 teams from District jhelum participated in this tournament. Semi Final was Played Between Sohawa Cricket Club,Jhelum Cricket Club,Al-Hassan Cricket Club and Sangi Cricket Club.Final was played between Al-Hassan Cricket Club and Sangi Cricket Club.
Al-Hassan Cricket Club captain Rizwan Sadiq from Khukha decided to bat first after winning the toss. A superb performance by Rameez But and Rizwan Sadiq gave good start to the final.Al-Hassan made 51 runs.In reply Sangi cricket Club made 48 runs.Rashid and Slaam Khan played competitively.Al-Hassan cricket Clubs players Zubair Shah and Khalid Pathaan took 3 wickets each.Rameez Butt was declared best Batsman of the tournament.
Al-Hassan Cricket Club won the tournament. Rizwan Sadiq received the winning trophy and 10 thousand Rupees from Barrister Ch.Muhammad Afzal.Ahsaan Janjua captain of Sangi Cricket Club received 5 thousand rupees and runners up trophy from Pakistan Muslim League N leader Ch.Mazhar Iqbal.

The idea of the KHUKHA WELFARE FUND was presented by a group of people living in UK originally from khukha who wish to contribute their support for the needy and poor whenever they needed. This idea has been discussed for a while now as how to run, how to arrange the collection of funds and who by, what criteria to be set to qualify to receive help and how the money to be handed over to qualified individual?
Some of us had the opportunity to visit our family and friends in Khukha last year and recently. We found out that a group of people pledged their support to run this association in Khukha. After a initial few meetings were held, where all the ideas were discussed, two individuals were elected, MR TARIQ Mehmood S/O ADALAT KHAN, Mohalla PESHORIA) and Ch SAEED NAWAZ to be mainly responsible for running this association which is to be a NON POLITICAL association.
We are glad to announce that the first practical step has been taken by the association by providing the funds to arrange for an EYE OPERATION for MUHAMMAD ASHRAF, mohalla PESHORIA and Alhamd-u-Lillah, the operation was a success and wish to take more practical steps toward running this association on a long term regular and permanent basis.
May we take this opportunity to make a very biq request to whole Khukha community, wherever they are settled, to participate and contribute generously as they have always been.
We would like to invite everyone to take part in supporting and suggesting new ideas to make this association a success.

Khukha residents, with Allah's blessing, saw a very heavy and useful rainfall on last Friday. It has rained just once in last three months. It brought a fresh and pleasant weather as winter season broke. Good for Farmers as they heavily rely on regular rainfall to bring life and speedy growth to crops as well as jungle Grass. Naeem Arshad S/O Haji Mohammad Arshad is a talented badminton player.He achieved 3rd position in ALL PUNJAB Badminton tournament held in Lahore.He started playing badminton with his friends in khukha and then went on to represent his college,with no indoor badminton experience he was still good enough to beat the top PUNJAB players in the singles and doules also.He represented his institute which Technical Institue RAWAAT.
He has already all the top players of Jhelum in singles.
He was awarded with a trophy and a cash prize of RS 5000 from Punjab Provincial sports minister in the tournament held in Lahore.

Ch.Mazhar Iqbal leader of PML (N) started develpoing Dungiya farm near Khukha about 14 years ago. Slowly the land was levelled by bulldozer as the land was comprising of small hills. A Tube well Was dug 10 years ago. All the water irrigation sytem was put underground.
The real dairy development started in May 2009. The project was developed with the help of Pakistans dairy development company. The aim was to use new techniques of modern dairy.

Unfortunately there is no electric supply at the farm. All the lighting at the farm is produced by Tokka and the milking machines are run by the generators. There is a lot of interest from the local people who are visiting the farm to see the modern equipment used.

By the Grace of Allah (Almighty and Glorious is He) and the blessings of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), hundreds of men and youth, gathered together in Jamia Mosque Khukha, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (may Allah be well pleased with him and his father). The date was the 10th Muhurrum, the Day of Ashura on Sunday the 27th of December 2009.

It was presided by Qari Muhammad Yousaf Sialvi and organised by the efforts of Khukha Minhaaj-ul-Quraan. It started immediatly after Isha prayers and Molana Ghulam Rubbani, special guest, a student of Molana Tahi-ul-Qadri, made a special speech.

Since there are two Daras sharif in Khukha where hundreds of Huffaaz learn Quraan by heart. An official ceremony, called Dastaar Bandi, is held at the end of each Islamic year for those who learn and pass the test to be confirmed as the Haafiz-e-Quraan by Qari Muhammad Yousaf Sialvi. Fourteen (14) students from Khukha Daras recieved Dastaar, officially recognised as Haafiz-e-Quraan. By the grace of Allah, two of them were from Khukha village.
